When: February 10, 11, 17 & 18. 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
What: 100+ volunteers gather at the Ronald McDonald House to make phone calls to donors.
Goal: Raise $95,000 to support the families at Ronald McDonald House of Greater Chattanooga.
Why a Phonathon?
We strongly emphasize verbally connecting with our donors. Not just for their donations, but because of our appreciation for them and our passion to inform others of what we do at the House. Many individuals get phonathon’s confused with “begging for money,” when we are really celebrating donors’ ability to embrace their gift giving even further.
When your own child is critically ill, your heart stops. You aren’t able to think of your day-to-day routine as you stare at your child in the hospital bed being hooked up to machines twice their size as they try to fight for their lives. The last you want to focus on after driving a far distance are: “Where should I stay and what do I eat?
If you haven’t experienced this tragic moment, be thankful.
The Ronald McDonald House runs strictly on your donations and from the help of our generous volunteers. Our mission is to provide a “home away from home” which can only be done with your help. During February 10, 11, 17 & 18 our goal is to raise $95,000 to support the House amenities in order to give loved ones a place to rest their head at night, be fed and be able to relax.
